Freiburg im Breisgau!! Freiburg im Breisgau is a sunny, eco-friendly, and youthful city. It’s nestled between the Rhine Valley and the Black Forest. Freiburg’s car-free downtown invites leisurely exploration. Tranquil streets beckon pedestrians to wander at will. The medieval narrow streets transport you into another time and are perfect for exploration by foot. Since the city is one of the most sustainable in many ways, the convenience for bikes and bike rental are extraordinary if you want to adventure out of the old town. Situated in Germany’s iconic Black Forest, Freiburg im Breisgau is definitely worth visiting while you’re in the southwest region of Germany! Its small but picturesque old town might not be quite as riveting as the one in Munich, Berlin or Hamburg , for example, but its towering minster, historic town halls and fantastic beer gardens and beer halls make Freiburg a truly charming city.
