Lake Views, and a Stair Party in Chuncheon

#summervacay Took a day trip out to Chuncheon to hike Samaksan, and it was such a solid move. The trail starts off mellow, just a nice walk through the woods, but don’t be fooled, it definitely gets stair-heavy real quick. Like, a lot of stairs. Leg day kinda sneaks up on you. But honestly, the views make it all worth it. You get these insane overlooks of Uiam Lake and the city, and the mix of mountains and water is just unreal. It’s not super high, but the payoff feels big. There’s even this cool metal walkway part that makes you feel like you’re in an action movie for a sec. The whole vibe is peaceful but not boring, just the right balance of effort and reward. Plus, since you’re in Chuncheon, it’s basically mandatory to grab some dakgalbi after. Hike hard, eat harder. If you’re looking for a fun, scenic trail that won’t destroy you, Samaksan’s got your back.
