Penang is witness to the triumph of Chinese citizens in Malaysia. One of them is illustrated by the magnificent temple building of Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi. The Khoo clan originating from the Hokkien province, China is famous for being good at trading and being rich. Most of Penang's residents have lived in shophouses for decades, with many properties passed down from generation to generation by the British occupying the island in 1786. #staycation #gooutside #malaysia
