A thousand-year-old temple in a busy city

#Guangzhou Attractions Guangzhou Big Buddha Temple is located near the traditional tourist attraction "Beijing Road Pedestrian Street" and is always crowded with people. It turns out that this is a thousand-year-old temple hidden in the city. The Big Buddha Temple was first built during the Southern Han Dynasty (917-971 AD) and was originally named "Xinzang Temple". It was one of the 28 temples of the Southern Han Dynasty and is now one of the five major Buddhist temples in Guangzhou. Because there are three large bronze Buddha statues enshrined in the main hall, which are the best in Lingnan, it is named "Big Buddha Temple". Standing in the quaint temple, looking up, you will see modern buildings with glass curtain walls all around. The contrast is quite interesting.
