A Peaceful Stroll Through Tongdosa Temple

#summervacay If you're into calm vibes, forest walks, and temple feels, Tongdosa is 100% worth a visit. Nestled in the mountains of Gyeongsangnam-do, this temple isn’t flashy with giant Buddha statues, what makes it special is that it doesn’t have one outside. Why? Because the real relics of Buddha are enshrined inside the temple, which is kinda epic. The whole area is surrounded by tall trees and peaceful trails. I felt like I was walking through a live painting. The buildings are super old-school and beautifully preserved. Even if you’re not spiritual, it’s easy to appreciate the energy and history here. I spent most of my time just wandering, taking in the soft chanting sounds, little streams, and mossy rocks. There’s also a bridge and some cute tea shops nearby if you want to linger longer. It’s one of those places that feels like it slows down time. Quiet, grounding, and seriously soul-refreshing.
