The Truth about the "Matcha Lake" in Qingshanhu

Often compared to a cup of creamy Matcha tea, Qingshanhu's Water Forest looks so surreal that it is almost impossible to believe such a place can actually exist. But make no mistake, it is 100% real! 💯 ✅Verified: Genuine place - not artificially dyed or photoshopped! This unique phenomenon is the result of a combination of natural factors which include duckweed (a tiny flowing plant that forms a dense green layer), microalgae, and shallow stagnant water rich in nutrients. 📍 How to get there: 🚝 Get off at Babaili Metro Station (line 15) and take the Exit C1. Walk straight towards Qingshanhu Scenic Area, Water Forest for about 1.2 km. Entrance fee: ¥40 per person. Best time to visit: The best months to visit are from June to October, when the weather is warmer and sunny. It is especially striking during autumn when the orange foliage of the trees contrasts with the vibrant green carpet of the water. Note: I went there during early-June and there were still some areas where the duckweed hadn't spread completely.
