Please go to Sapporo Mitsui Garden West to find Shirahige Falls PART1

Recently a friend mentioned that she wanted to go to Hokkaido, so I recalled the itinerary of Biei + Furano + Asahikawa + Eastern Hokkaido that I took at the beginning of this year. It was truly amazing. DAY1, I took a Juneyao Airlines flight from Shanghai Pudong to Asahikawa. It is recommended to choose a window seat (P3), but this route may no longer be available. You can consider transferring within Japan or entering from Sapporo. There is a bus from Asahikawa Airport that goes directly to Biei Station. Tickets can be purchased at the airport and the ride takes about 15 minutes (the flight arrived an hour early, so we had to wait a long time). Considering that there are not many accommodation options in Biei City, we chose Biei Platinum Hot Spring Hotel. The hotel provides shuttle buses to and from Biei Station (P4). Please refer to the official website for specific timetables and booking instructions (we sent an email to make a reservation the day before departure, and then made reservations at the front desk every day for the next few days). The Shirogane Onsen Hotel also offers night excursions to the Blue Pond which can be booked at the front desk and were at no extra charge when we went. Since there were four of us staying, we booked two rooms and took a bath in the large bath every night, which actually saved us a lot of time on washing up! In addition, we brought a bunch of snowball and snow duck molds, which added a lot of hand-made fun to the hotel (P5). On DAY2, we visited Shirahige Falls (P1-P2), Biei Ichiki Tree, Biba-gyu Station and Furano. Shirahige Falls is just behind the Shirogane Onsen Hotel. You can go there to see it before leaving in the morning. The waterfall itself is very beautiful, as well as the hot steam from the hot spring. Before leaving, I submitted P1's photo to the Sapporo Sankei Garden West photography competition and received an email saying it was accepted. I hope it hasn't been replaced yet. To get to Biei Station, you have to rely on the hotel's car. Then you can call a taxi at the tourist center in front of the station to Biei Ichikishu, and then walk 30 minutes from Biei Ichikishu to Bibaushi Station. The scenery along the way was like an uninhabited snowfield (P7) and a very quiet town (P8). There were even only vending machines and a family grocery store in front of the Meima Niu Station. In fact, this walk was much more worthwhile than just looking at the trees (every tree was Korean 🚌). Finally, because another friend was skiing in Furano, we agreed to meet in Furano and took a walk around, but overall, if you don’t want to ski, you don’t need to go to Furano specifically.
