Summer in Hokkaido: A Whirlwind Tour of Sapporo! 🌸🏙️

#summervacay My summer trip to Hokkaido brought me to the vibrant city of Sapporo, and I've put together some photos from all the places I visited. Strategic Stay & Sightseeing Upon arriving at New Chitose Airport, I opted to stay near JR Sapporo Station. This was a smart move for easy travel, especially when leaving, as I could simply take the JR directly to the airport with all my packed luggage. My explorations around the city included: Former Hokkaido Government Office (北海道旧厅): I even found the Crayon Shin-chan photo spot there! Suwa Shrine (諏訪神社): Here, I tried the unique omikuji (fortune slips) that reveal text when dipped in water and disappear as they dry. I also bought an adorable chubby bird omamori (charm). Odori Park (大通公园): The weather was incredibly pleasant, making it perfect for sitting and enjoying the breeze in this open park. I also snapped a photo with the nearby Sapporo Clock Tower (记时台). Shiroi Koibito Park (白色恋人工厂): A delightful visit where I tasted beer and ice cream, and even made a refrigerator magnet. Hokkaido University (北海道大学): This campus is surprisingly vast, and I even discovered live dairy cows in its furthest reaches! Hokkaido Shrine (北海道神宫): I tried my luck with an omikuji here and wrote a wish on an ema (votive tablet). Sapporo Beer Garden & Museum (啤酒博物馆): A highlight for beer lovers! I sampled three different beers for 1200 yen. Souvenirs, Food & Future Plans By the end of my trip, I'd bought all the plushies I could find, stocked up at drugstores, and savored delicious soup curry. The comfortable weather truly made the experience enjoyable.
