W Hotel's Sing Yan restaurant is located in Elements, above Kowloon Station. The restaurant has a comfortable and elegant environment and exquisite decoration, making people feel relaxed and happy. The first floor of Xingyan Restaurant mainly serves Cantonese cuisine and is famous for its exquisite Cantonese dim sum, which has even been recommended by Michelin. One of my favorite dim sum is the rice roll with pork belly and preserved vegetables. This dim sum is filled with a whole piece of lean pork belly that has been cut into two rectangular pieces. It is not greasy, but very soft, salty and fragrant, and very delicious. Different from the thinly sliced ​​pork belly in tea restaurants, the unique taste of this pork belly with preserved vegetables rice rolls makes me visit Xingyan Restaurant again and again. Of course, this time I ordered a rice roll with braised pork and taro. The only difference between it and the rice roll with braised pork and preserved vegetables is that there is a thin slice of taro on the pork. The taste is almost the same. I also really like the restaurant’s other dim sum, such as scallop rice rolls, abalone pastry, crystal vegetarian mushroom dumplings and barbecued pork pastry. Each dessert is carefully made, with a fresh taste, delicate flavor and is very delicious. As for tea, I like to drink lychee black tea, which is a relatively special type of tea. When drinking tea, the waiters always kindly add tea for the guests and provide warm and thoughtful service. As a Chinese restaurant in a five-star hotel, reservations are required in advance and walk-in opportunities are rare. Chinese restaurants mainly attract business guests who come for lunch and tea, so the seats are often full and it is difficult to find an empty seat. This time, 5 of us had tea, including 10% service charge, it was about HK$1,650, averaging about HK$350 per person 😃 and we were very full.
