Check in at Man Mo Temple in Tai Po, Hong Kong

#Greater Bay Area must-visit check-in spots Tai Po Man and Mo Emperor Temple is located in the center of Tai Wo Town, Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong (now Fu Shin Street, Tai Po). It was built in the 17th year of the Guangxu period (1891) with funds raised by the villagers of Tai Po. It is the first protected building in the New Territories and is very famous. This Wenwu Temple is surrounded by walls to keep the temple quiet. The temple adopts a symmetrical layout, with three parts on both sides of the central axis. The first part is the main entrance, the second part is the open-air garden and side wing, and the third part is the main hall. The temple entrance is built with blue bricks and polished granite blocks. The two side walls and the roof ridge are decorated with plaster hangings. The eaves on the edge of the roof are typical features of New Territories buildings. The temple gate plaque reads: "Temple of the Two Emperors Wen and Wu", and the wooden couplet reads: "Wen shines brightly on the sun and moon; Wu guards the mountains and rivers", which well interprets the meaning of the two words "Wen and Wu". The two emperors Wenchang and Guanwu are enshrined in the temple. Although the Wenwu Temple is not large in area, it is very popular and famous in the northern part of the New Territories. Many people come here to pray and make wishes during festivals. The temple is hidden within the Tai Po market, so you can stroll around the area after visiting.
