Shing Mun Reservoir was a key military point where the British Army defended Hong Kong Island from the Japanese Army during World War II. After the visitor center is the Pineapple Dam Education Trail. There are a lot of monkeys on that trail, and there are monkeys on the railings and in the streams along the trail. ⚠️Please note that these are all wild monkeys, so please pay attention to your mobile phone and backpack when passing by, especially do not hold food in your hands~ In addition, feeding monkeys is prohibited (Hong Kong law stipulates that the maximum fine for feeding wild animals is 10,000 yuan).
