Hung Fa Leng Country Park, located in Sha Tau Kok, New Territories, is Hong Kong's newest and 25th country park. Situated near the Hong Kong-Shenzhen border, it offers breathtaking views of Sha Tau Kok, Yantian Port, and other scenic spots along the border, as well as distant views of Sheung Shui, Lo Wu, and Futian. In addition to its natural beauty, the hiking trail passes through military relics such as trenches, the Lin Ma Hang Mine, a British colonial-era bunker, and the Hakka village of Lin Ma Hang, blending history and nature into a rich tapestry of stories. 📍 Hiking Route: Shan Tsui Village Road → Hung Fa Leng Nature Trail → Lin Ma Hang Nature Trail (passing Lin Ma Hang Mine and MacIntosh Fort) → Lin Ma Hang Village 🚶♀️ Distance: Approximately 9.6 km ⏰ Duration: Around 4 hours 🚌 Transportation Starting Point: Take KMB bus 78K/78S from Sheung Shui Bus Terminus to Tan Shui Hang Station, then walk for 20 minutes to reach the entrance of Hung Fa Leng Nature Trail. Ending Point: From Lin Ma Hang, take minibus 59K to Liantang Port or Sheung Shui.
