🏔Climb the ‘loveliest mountain in China’ 🏔

Famous throughout Chinese history for the art and poetry it inspired, Huangshan (literally meaning ‘Yellow Mountains’) is well worth the visit and climb. The scenery is striking and there is nothing quite like it! Located in Anhui province, you can either fly or take the bullet train to Huangshan city. The scenic area is then approximately a 1 hour drive away. It is well worth it to stay at the base of the scenic area to fully maximize your day of mountain exploration. You will have 2 options to get up the mountain, cablecar or climbing. We chose to climb up several thousand stairs and thus had a few hours blissfully free of other tourists. We also got to witness the mountain porters carrying supplies up and down the stairs on their backs. Once on top of the mountain, you then spend several hours walking along the various pathways to multiple viewpoints. Bring your own lunch as options are incredibly limited! #mountainview
