Unexpectedly beautiful even compared to Wuzhen

Most importantly, it is free to enter! This city just recently had a high-speed train to Nanxun Station, making it very easy to get to. Just take a taxi for another 15 minutes and you will reach the old city area. From the south gate, tourists can walk around and see all the famous places, such as the private garden of the former tycoon Xiaolianzhuang, the Jiaye Ancient Library, or Zhang Shiming's old Western-style house and the "Red House" of the Liu family, which is a popular photo spot. Finally, take a sightseeing cruise at Shikou Port and walk around the hundreds of buildings along the canal, such as "Bai Jianlou", which is stunningly beautiful when the sun is shining. Or sit and relax and watch the sunset at Guanghui Bridge, which is extremely romantic. When evening falls, the light from the red lanterns reflecting on the water surface takes the entire city back in time to the Ming and Qing dynasties.
