The last stop before heading out was conquered by this plate of sashimi. While browsing the map, I stumbled upon "Market Cafeteria - Tsuru no Minato." The photos looked ordinary, and the reviews were average. Although the ratings weren't particularly enticing, sometimes these places turn out to be hidden gems. Spots frequented by locals are always worth exploring. To sum it up: "Fish heaven!" Located at a rest stop restaurant beside a small fishing port, it's a favorite among travelers for its high value for money. I ordered the "Yamakawa Sashimi Set Meal" for JPY 1,300. When the sashimi was served, it was dazzlingly fresh, so vibrant it seemed to glow on its own—absolutely irresistible! For less than 300 TWD, with air conditioning, a scenic view, and sashimi, it felt like a steal! ＊The ceramic plates, not melamine, elevate the experience. ＊No pink plastic soy sauce dishes—extra points for that. ＊No neon green wasabi—truly touching. Yamakawa's specialty bonito (lightly seared with green onions—extra points again), rich and tender yellowtail, my personal favorite, and thick-cut tuna and red snapper also had impressive textures.
