#springwander The enshrined deities are Susano no Mikoto, Kushiinada Hime no Mikoto, and Yahashira no Mikogami, and the headquarters of about 2,300 shrines related to the enshrined deities are Yasaka Shrines scattered throughout the country. It is said that the origin of the founding of the shrine is that the god of Mt. Uto in Silla was enshrined here in the year of 656 (Mperor Saimei 2). Since ancient times, it has been revered as Gion Kanjin-in and Gion-sha, and it is still called "Gion-san" in the local area.
