What is the most convenient way to get from Kansai Airport to downtown Osaka? A complete guide to transportation in Hanan and Shinsaibashi!

This time I live in Shinsaibashi and have compiled the methods I have personally tried for your reference. If you are getting off T2 terminal, first take the free shuttle bus to T1, then follow the instructions to take the tram up to the 2nd floor. If you get off T1 it is simpler, after passing customs turn left, see the convenience store, then take the lift to the 2nd floor and you will see the directions to the city. My goal is Shinsaibashi, the most convenient way is to take the Nankai Electric Railway to Bona (Namba), then change to the subway Midosuji Line a few stops away, the whole process is quite smooth. There are several trains to choose from on the Nanhai Electric Railway: •Nanhai Express Rapit: Beautiful and fast cars, all designated seats, tickets must be purchased separately, no transportation card can be tapped into the gate, price ¥1,490. Suitable for people who have a lot of luggage and want to be more comfortable. • Nankai Airport Express: I chose this one, direct to Namba and no need to change trains, price ¥970, speed and comfort are very balanced, recommended! •Nankai Line Regular: Slower, you have to change trains midway, however it’s ¥970, if you’re not in a hurry. •Airport Bus: Direct to Namba for ¥1,490 without dragging luggage into the station, however, depending on traffic, there is a chance of traffic jams. If you live in Umeda: • You can take the Kanto Express, directly to Osaka Station, without having to change lines, very convenient. • You can also take the Hankyu Airport Bus, directly to Umeda, fare ¥1,800, get off and walk a few minutes to the hotel. Overall, if you want cheap, convenient and fast, Nanhai Airport Express is the best value for money.
