Jiayuguan is located in the western section of the Hexi Corridor and is also the westernmost end of the Great Wall. It is known as the No. 1 Pass in the World. The entire Jiayuguan Pass is majestic, with the Qilian Mountains and the Black Mountains on the north and south sides. In ancient times, it was the throat leading to the Western Regions and Central Asia, and also an important pass on the ancient Silk Road. Jiayuguan, which was first built in the Ming Dynasty, has gone through hundreds of years of ups and downs, but it still stands in the vast Gobi Desert, witnessing the changes of history. It is not far from the Jiayuguan scenic area by taxi. The ticket price is 110 yuan (including the first pier of the Great Wall and the hanging wall Great Wall). After entering Jiayuguan Pass, you can take the free round-trip electric shuttle bus at the scenic area service area. The tour takes about two hours.
