Details
Sakurajima is a must-visit when you go to Kagoshima, Japan. It's an active volcano, so if you're lucky, you can see smoke eruptions. The ferry to Sakurajima is also cheap, operates 24 hours, and takes 15 minutes. A large ferry that can also carry rental cars. I thought it was a small island, but there are elementary and middle schools, and there is an island bus that goes around the island, so you can travel around the island comfortably. If you want to go to Sakurajima, I recommend the cute pass, which allows unlimited use of all public transportation in the city. It costs about 120,000 won per day, 19,000 won for 2 days.
