Phra That Yaku, Kalasin Province

The ancient pagoda, which is an important religious and historical site in Kamalasai District, Kalasin Province, where evidence has been found that this area was once called Mueang Fa Daet Song Yang. It is one of the most important sites and artifacts in the Northeast. Phra That Yaku is the most complete and largest ancient site found in Mueang Fa Daet. It is assumed that it is the only one that was not destroyed after the city was defeated in the war against Chiang Som in the past. The word Yaku in the Northeastern language means a monk who has been respected or ordained for a long time.
