We spent three days and two nights doing “nothing”, listening to the rain, looking at the green rice fields, and letting ourselves walk slowly in the embrace of the mountains and fog. 🌾 What did we do on this trip? • Listening to the rain – The sound of rain on the wooden roof became the best lullaby of this trip. • Walking along the rice fields – In the midst of the light rain, the view of the rice terraces looked strangely romantic. • Hiking, playing in the waterfall – If it’s light rain, there are small forest trails and nearby waterfalls for you to walk on and soak in the cool water. • Stop and look around – This trip is not rushed, there is no fixed plan. Just let yourself flow with the rhythm of nature. ☕ Highlight Cafe Don't miss Geligol Coffee, a small cafe in the middle of the mist with a quiet view, perfect for sitting and sipping hot tea, listening to the sound of rain, and taking a deep breath. 🏡 Accommodation “Baan” Homestay – a simple wooden house that is warmed by the owner’s smile and the sound of nature. The rooms are clean and the home-cooked food is so delicious that you want to ask for more every meal. There is no air conditioning, TV, or mobile phone signal here, but we are filled with “comfort”. 🚗 Travel It takes about 3-4 hours to drive from Chiang Mai. The mountain road may be winding, but every curve is worth it. Just drive slowly, listen to good music, and let your heart flow along the way. 💡 Tips for this trip • Prepare a raincoat or a thin jacket for the light rain. • Sandals that you can walk in or rubber shoes are ideal. • Don’t expect an internet connection — and that’s the good point. • Come without a plan and let nature take you on a trip.
