You can visit Kamakura in one day.

#Kamakura is a city about an hour from Tokyo. There is a classic train, beautiful sea view. If the weather is good, you can see Fuji, the Great Buddha of Daibutsu, temples, shrines and Enoshima Island. There are so many things to see. If you come early in the morning, you might be able to see everything. But I woke up late, so I couldn't see everything. There are still many places to stop by. There are 2 ways to get to Kamakura from Tokyo. 🚆Take the JR train to Kamakura Station and buy a Kamakura-Enoshima one day pass for the Enoden train for 700 yen. You can ride the classic train unlimitedly. But the overall ticket price is higher than the second method. 🚆From Shinjuku Station, take the Odakyu train with the Enoshima-Kamakura Pass to Fujisawa Station and take the Enoden train to Kamakura City for 1,470 yen. You can get a round trip and unlimited Enoden trains. Both methods will take about 1 hour to get to the city. But the difference is that the point where you get on the Enoden is on the opposite side of the city. If you take the JR, you will get off at Kamakura Station, which has a walking street. But if you take the Odakyu, it will be closer to the Enoshima Station side. There are stations that are tourist spots for Enoden all along the way. You can get off at any station you like first. The Enoden Line is not just a tourist train, but also the main train line for the city. Therefore, in addition to meeting tourists, you will also meet locals who use this train. The frequency is about 15 minutes, which is quite sweet. This is another part that Toon came late and couldn't visit in one day. 😅 I recommend coming early in the morning because some places will be full of tourists. I recommend the following places that Toon visited: 🚆 Get off at any station with a beach. If you walk down to the sandy beach on a clear day, you will be able to see Fuji not far away. 🚆 Kamakurakokomae Station: The train station with the sea as the backdrop, in the scene of Slamdunk. This place is quite popular. There are a lot of foreign tourists. It is also a road that cars pass through. If you come late, you won't be able to take beautiful pictures. There are only heads of people 😂 and you have to be careful of cars that are running. There are officers blowing whistles to prevent people from stopping in the middle of the crosswalk. I felt sorry for the officers. At this point, Toon just took pictures from the side and then crossed over to see the beach and Fuji. 🚆 Inamuragasaki Station: There is a cafe next to the train tracks called Cafe Yoridokoro. You can eat while watching the trains passing by up close. This cafe is quite popular. You can make a reservation and sign your name in advance. The staff will let you order food and inform you of the approximate time you will be back. Toon waited in line for 1 hour. There is also Inamuragasaki Cape, which has a black sand beach. It's not far from the station to the beach. 🚆 Hase Station: Kotokuin Temple, worship the Great Buddha, and stop by Kannon Coffee. There are crepes with cookies in the shape of a Great Buddha on top. Enjoy the Dharma in every bite 😆 🚆 Enoshima Station: Walk across the long bridge to Enoshima Island. There are walking streets, parks, shrines, and viewpoints. Don't miss Asaji Honten, a shop selling freshly made giant squid sembei. Crispy and salty, very delicious. I went here when the sun set. The market was already closed, but there were still some sembei that closed a bit later. More food 🐟 For Enoshima Island, I recommend trying the famous shirasu fish here. It's a tiny white fish with a very fresh and delicious taste. I didn't get to try it here, but Cafe Yoridokoro has it. 🍺 Beer This place has their own specialty beer. Don't forget to try it. There are Kamakura, Enoshima, Shonan beers, and special chuhai here. I'll whisper that my boyfriend really likes Kamakura beer. 😆 #kamakura #japan #reviewjapan #dayoffstillleft #givemedayoff
