ANA Crowne Plaza Kanazawa Standard Double Room

The accommodation is at the ANA Crowne Plaza in Kanazawa. After checking out in Yokohama at 7 a.m., I flew from Haneda to Noto Airport and spent the day in Suzu City. Around 7 p.m., I arrived in Kanazawa and checked into the hotel, which is just a minute's walk from Kanazawa Station. I had visited this hotel in July this year for their afternoon tea. Personally, I am a fan of the ANA Crowne chain and have stayed at their properties in Kobe, Nagasaki, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Toyama, Osaka, and Okayama. It’s a clean and great value-for-money hotel. At check-in, I requested a high floor and was assigned to the premium floor on the top 18th floor. 🙏 Lucky! From the room, I could see Kanazawa Station with its trains coming and going, as well as the distant sea. There’s a competing hotel with 30 floors across the street, but the room I was assigned was positioned slightly away from that direction, so you’d have to turn your head to see the neighboring building. The hotel building itself is oval-shaped, curving like a bow. One of the charms of ANA Crowne is its amenities. They provide aromatic bath salts, MegRhythm steam eye masks, and even tea to help with sleep. Being on the premium floor, the study area also features a double desk, which is great. The hotel’s location right in front of the station has its pros and cons. Kanazawa’s main tourist attractions are about 3–6 bus stops or a 10–20 minute walk away. Kanazawa City has two bus companies. JR buses accept nationwide IC cards, while Hokutetsu buses only accept cash, so you need to pay attention when boarding. By using a mix of buses and walking, I was able to enjoy sightseeing in Kanazawa. The limousine bus to Komatsu Airport is also just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, which was very convenient. And now, the highlight and charm of ANA Crowne: the breakfast. It rained that day, so I switched to Plan B for the morning schedule and allocated plenty of time to enjoy the hotel breakfast. The breakfast, featuring specialties from the Ishikawa region, included winter-limited dishes like Kanazawa udon and kaburazushi, adding a special touch. It truly felt like a delicious paradise. You can make your own kaisendon with fresh seafood from Noto. The omelets and eggs Benedict added richness to the meal. There were four types of grilled fish, including sea bream. 😲 The Kanazawa curry, topped with tonkatsu, was also incredibly tasty. The rice and miso soup were all sourced from Ishikawa, making the breakfast a perfect way to immerse yourself in the flavors of the region. The afternoon tea I had here in the summer was also filled with Ishikawa-inspired elements. This hotel’s love for Ishikawa is truly remarkable. Even the Christmas tree is adorned with gold leaf.
