Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, where the Buddha's tooth is said to be stored

Kandy is a good place to use as a base camp when traveling to Sri Lanka and to travel to other towns, but there isn't much to see in Kandy itself. The only famous place is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. It is said that the Buddha's tooth is stored there. Since it is an important place for locals, the security check is a bit strict. You have to leave your cigarettes, lighter, and shoes before entering. Inside the temple, there is a room with the Buddha's tooth, a museum, a gallery, etc. There are many things to see, such as the World Buddhist Museum, but if you are not interested in Buddhism, you might get bored. 😶 I was disappointed with the excessive donations. From the entrance, to the temple, to the prayer space, and even when leaving your shoes, they give you a donation box that is burdensome.
