[Saitama] Little Edo, Kawagoe

#Spring0yenTrip Kawagoe, located in Saitama Prefecture, is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture, and is affectionately known as "Little Edo". The first place we visited was the Toki no Kane, the symbol of Kawagoe. This bell tower, which has been telling the time since the Edo period, blended into the atmospheric streetscape. In the surrounding warehouse-style townscape, heavy black plaster buildings stand side by side, and we felt as if we had traveled back in time. We also visited Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine. Known as the god of matchmaking, the grounds were decorated with wind chimes, creating a fantastic atmosphere. In addition, at Kashiya Yokocho, nostalgic sweets and handmade candies were lined up, bringing back childhood memories. Kawagoe was a charming city where historical buildings and modern culture blended together, and just walking around soothed the soul.
