🗻 Conquering Khao Luang, Sukhothai – Beginners can hike too! But beware, it's super steep! 😵💫 This trip is exhausting to the max! Khao Luang in Sukhothai Province is the highest peak in Northern Thailand (over 1,200 meters above sea level!). 📍 Location: Ramkhamhaeng National Park (Khao Luang), Khirimat District, Sukhothai Province 🚗 How to get there: • From Bangkok, you can take a bus to Sukhothai city or drive yourself (about 5-6 hours). • From the city, drive another 30 minutes to the Ramkhamhaeng National Park office. There’s a parking lot and a registration point before starting the hike. 📅 Recommended: Overnight camping The hike takes about 4-6 hours (depending on your stamina and rest stops). The trail is seriously steep! 🥹 🎒 What to prepare: • Tent + sleeping bag (available for rent at the park) • Dry food, 3-4 liters of drinking water (depending on your endurance 😅) • Hiking attire / flashlight / power bank / trash bags • Hiking stick – highly recommended! • Inhaler, pain relief ointment 💬 Personal tips: • Register in advance with the park (daily visitor limit) • Pack only essentials – the trail is steep! 🥹 • Be mentally prepared because the view at the summit is the ultimate reward for all the effort! 🥹
