3 days 2 nights on Koh Sichang

Koh Sichang can be visited as a day trip because it is easy to travel to, but we wanted to be on an island, so we chose to stay for 2 nights at Somewhere Koh Si Chang Hotel, a hotel in the Cape & Kantary chain in Sriracha, so there is free indoor parking, a shuttle to the pier and a shuttle bus on the island. The boat to the island leaves every hour. The fare is 50 baht per person (2568-60 baht). It is a large 2-story boat. You can choose your seat as you like. The travel time is about 40 minutes. If you go in the morning, choose the right side to avoid the sun. There are 3 types of vehicles on the island: motorcycles (for hire or rent), Skylab cars, and songthaews. At the pier, there will be a welcome announcement with rental prices for everyone. We chose to rent a Skylab car for the whole day. We contacted the hotel for 450 baht. It took us everywhere. It was a standard price, no additional charge. The first day we arrived at 11am. We saw that Phra Chuthathut Rajathan was not far from the hotel. It was only a 10-minute walk, so we decided to go and take a look. We saw that there was a cafe by the sea. Phra Chuthathut Rajathan is located on a hill by the sea. It used to be a palace. But now it is a historical tourist attraction and museum. There are many beautiful buildings. There is interesting historical information. On the top of the mountain, there is Wat Atsadang Nimit, very beautiful. It is a Gothic church with a pagoda covering the top perfectly. Nearby is the Bell Stone, which is a large rock that makes a loud sound like a bell when knocked. But the surrounding environment is quite messy. The check-in point is the Asdang Bridge, which is a white wooden bridge. Warning: On weekdays, the cafe is not open. There are no shops selling drinks or snacks. You must bring enough water because there is a lot of walking. There is also a walk up the mountain. (I just learned from Phi We, the Skylab driver, that I will take customers to the top and have them walk down to the sea. 😅) The next day, we started from the Khao Yai Shrine, which is a cave with a rock shaped like a human face. It is respected by the people on the island. But Phi We recommended that above the Khao Yai Shrine, there is a footprint of the Lord Buddha and a way up to the top of Phra Chulachomklao Mountain. If you like to walk, I will drop you off and let you walk down to meet the car at the Khao Yai Shrine. In conclusion, we went to pay respect to the footprint of the Lord Buddha and walk up to the top of Phra Chulachomklao Mountain. The way up is a 365-step staircase, passing under a tree arch, very beautiful (but extremely hot), then walk down to pay homage to the Lord of Khao Yai while sweating profusely, but the view is really beautiful, very worthwhile. Stay half a day and go back to the hotel to wash clothes.😅 For those who will follow in my footsteps, I recommend bringing a shirt just in case, because half a day will be soaking wet. In the afternoon, I met Phi We at 4 pm to watch the sunset at Laem Chakraphong and Khao Chong Khad, but Phi We said that there was still time left and he would take me to another place. It was a place I wanted to go to, which was the end of the island, which I had to go through a messy path to. If I came here myself, I wouldn't dare. The water here is very clear and beautiful. During low tide, you can walk across to Koh Yai Tao. Laem Chakraphong during sunset is very beautiful. There are golden grass hills, rocks, and slopes down to the clear sea water. There is a way down to take pictures at the check-in point with a stone wall at the channel that overlooks the sea behind. Tips: You should find a reference beforehand to find out what kind of photos to take that will look good. Personally, I didn't do any research, so the photos came out terrible. The last point is Isariyaporn Channel. Or Khao Khat, there is a Wachiravut Bridge that stretches out to the tip of the cape. The atmosphere is quiet, the wind is cool and comfortable. It is a great place to watch the sunset. End the trip by taking a boat back to eat Japanese food at Asami restaurant, opposite the public park. You can park in the park. It is a small restaurant with a real Japanese atmosphere. It is delicious and not too expensive. Recommended restaurants on the island: Stir-fried pork with basil, Bang Sewak Islandish, a beautiful cafe with delicious desserts. There are still many places that I didn't go to. Sichang really has more than just a one-day trip. #KohSichang #Sriracha
