Kosenji Temple is located in Kusatsu, an area famous for its hot springs. It is said to be one of the "Three Great Yakushi Hot Springs in Japan." I stayed at the Kusatsu Onsen Nu Shiyu Ryokan, which had stone steps right next to it and was very close to Kosenji Temple, so it was very accessible. It is on high ground, and you can see the Yubatake from above, which made it even more Kusatsu-like. The temple grounds are quite large, and include the main hall, the Fudo Hall, the bell tower, and the five-story pagoda.
