Nagoya In / Osaka Out: 3 Nights and 4 Days Travel Plan

This Japan trip is planned for 3 nights and 4 days, starting in Nagoya. This marks my 27th visit to Nagoya, and on the 4th day, I will return home via Osaka with a morning flight. The itinerary includes staying in Nagoya on the 1st day, Kyoto on the 2nd day, and Izumisano in Osaka Prefecture on the 3rd day. Since the pandemic, I have visited over 150 afternoon tea spots across Japan, and the number of new places to explore is gradually decreasing. For this trip, I will attend six afternoon tea sessions, with four being new locations and two being revisits but with different themes. I plan to explore Pokémon manholes in one location in Wakayama and throughout Osaka, collecting 18 manhole cards. For sightseeing, I will visit one spot along the Nakasendo route, the Aerospace Museum, and some architectural works by Tadao Ando. In Aichi Prefecture, I will revisit one castle after a long time. This will be my 97th castle visit, leaving just three more to reach my personal goal of 100 castles. Out of the 100 famous castles, I have visited 60 since learning about them, and now I visit any castle I come across, even without collecting stamps. Last year, I missed out on a Michelin-rated udon restaurant in Nagoya due to its closure, but I plan to visit it again this time. For the Nagoya-Kyoto transfer, I have reserved a Shinkansen ticket to save time. While regular trains require two transfers and take two hours at a cost of 3,000 yen, the Shinkansen takes only 30 minutes without transfers for 5,000 yen, making it the obvious choice. In Nagoya, I will use the Meitetsu Line 2-Day Pass starting from Chubu Airport. Of course, I will also make time to recharge at Starbucks. Thank you.
