The chapel and various temples have been renovated by the governors who ruled the Lanna Kingdom until today, making all the ancient sites still beautiful and valuable. It has been registered as a national ancient site. Important Buddhist sites include: 🙏Phra That Sadet contains the relics of the Lord Buddha. It is a Lanna-style pagoda, similar to Phra That Lampang Luang, but smaller. 🏰The main chapel (central chapel) enshrines “Luang Pho Ham Yat”, a large bronze Buddha statue in the walking posture. The Buddha’s features are beautiful in the Nan-Sukhothai art style (Sukhothai, Lanna, Hongsa). It was originally at Wat Chang Kham, Nan Province. The former abbot of Lampang Province requested the remnants of this bronze Buddha to be reassembled and to build a castle archway that was modeled after the porch of the pagoda at Wat Pa Sak, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province. It is the place of enshrining 🏰 Royal temple (Chamadevi temple) enshrines a bronze Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, Chiang Saen art style 🏰 Suwannakomkham temple (Buddha temple) is one of the 10 remaining wooden temples in the North. It is in the Lanna architecture style, built by Phra Chao Ho Kham Duangthip, the ruler of Lampang, along with the construction of the principal Buddha image in the temple, “Phra Chao Dam Ong Uan”, a bronze Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, Chiang Saen art style. There are patterns on the temple pillars painted with gold lacquer. Therefore, this temple is called Wihan Lai Kham according to Lanna architecture. It was originally an open temple, but when it was renovated in 1957, the walls were closed and windows were made into bars, but all the original features were still preserved. 🏡 Phra That Sadet Temple Museum, a single-storey shophouse, houses a variety of antiques, including dozens of wooden Buddha images, architectural pieces such as the brass umbrella on top of Phra That Sadet, made by Lanna craftsmen.
