Pongyangkok Temple, Lampang

Location: Tambon Pong Yang Khok, Hang Chat District, Lampang Province This is a temple of the people under the Mahanikaya sect, built around 1243. The highlight of the temple is the Vihara, which has beautiful paintings on every piece of wood. The Vihara was last renovated in 1996 under the supervision of the Fine Arts Department. Inside the Vihara, there is also an ancient pulpit that was built at the same time as the Vihara.
