Matchima Chocolate is a chocolate café that makes visitors feel like they are in a new fairy tale world of Matchima. The brand identity stands out with the story of a girl who loves to read and is passionate about chocolate. Her name is Matchima. She is a girl with chocolate-colored hair. The curled shape of her hair is modeled after the tail of a squirrel, an animal that always secretly eats cocoa beans in the garden, just like Matchima, who loves chocolate. With her seriousness about chocolate, the concept of a café was born, a journey of a cocoa tree. Each menu in the café has its own story and charm. Here, the owner's identity and love for chocolate are embedded in every molecule. The designer therefore decodes the story of the cocoa fruit into a concept and interprets the meaning into a space style that combines the Art Nouveau vibe. This comes out as an architectural form composed of free-form curves referencing the Golden Ratio. Each area under the curves hides a functional space that is divided into proportions, whether it is a sales area, a chocolate bar, a lab area, a seating area that supports a variety of customers, or a semi-exhibition area that tells stories about chocolate according to the occasion.
