📍【#游山玩水】Zhangye National Geopark, Gansu ⠀ The Colorful Danxia Geopark in Zhangye, Gansu, is one of the most amazing places on my trip. The average altitude of the entire scenic area is nearly 2,000 meters. The vast colorful hills are like a spectacular "rainbow layer cake", which is particularly dazzling under the sun. ⠀ This landform is a natural wonder formed by sandstone and other minerals after 24 million years of sedimentation and crustal movement. From a distance, it is a whole colorful canvas, and from a close look, you can clearly see the texture and lines of the rock layer, as if it is a work of art painted by nature over a thousand years. ⠀ Professor Huang Jin once praised this place as "the first colorful hill in China", which is well deserved. ⠀ ✔ It is recommended to go at sunset when the light is the most beautiful ✔ It is recommended to wear sunscreen and prepare water, as the scenic area is a long walk away ✔ There are viewing platforms and shuttle buses in the scenic area, suitable for travelers of different foot strengths 📸 If you are also planning to travel to Northwest China, this place is definitely worth putting on your itinerary list!
