[Must-visit in London in winter] South Bank Winter Market: Food, Gifts, and Scenery

It's called the Southbank Winter Market and it's part of the Southbank Centre's Winter Festival and one of many Christmas markets in London. As far as Christmas markets in London go, it’s one of the smaller ones, but it still offers quite a bit to do and see. If you're just looking to buy gifts, there are better markets. However, despite its small size, there are plenty of food vendors, curling and evening entertainment between the bridges, making it well worth a visit. Also, the location is very impressive with views of the London Eye and Big Ben. Market Stalls A little further from the London Eye is the Market District, where about 20 cute Alpine-style pop-up chalets are once again radiating festive cheer. Most stalls sell food or drinks, but there are also some independent vendors selling gifts. You can find a wide variety of food here, including Thai street food, duck wraps, crepes and Belgian waffles. The Duck Shed’s Christmas limited edition English Quacker duck roll is really delicious, so if you pass by, I would definitely recommend this. If you’re looking to buy gifts, you’ll find stalls selling gifts like jewelry, old maps, and beeswax candles. There are also plenty of stalls selling drinks, and mulled wine and hot chocolate are available to keep things warm and cosy as you wander under the twinkling lights. There is also a small open-air playground near the London Eye. When I say mini, it only has one ride ~~~ The Golden Carousel (cost £3.50 per person). Close to the Golden Carousel, you’ll find Between the Bridges ~~~ a seemingly massive venue featuring street food, bars, and entertainment. There is indoor and outdoor seating, lots of bars and two venues. There is no charge to enter between the bridges, but you will need to purchase a ticket to see some of the performances.
