just immense, we seemed to walk for miles and yet I think we missed half of it.

An incomparable collection of artistic masterpieces, sympathetically displayed in light and airy galleries, with informative descriptive panels. The staff are well-informed, friendly and helpful. The Gallery as a whole seems to cope with large numbers of visitors with ease and with no detriment to the visitor experience. The building is large and magnificent from the outside but some of the internal rooms and beautifully crafted and decorated and were almost art in themselves. The art works are beautiful with all the major artists on display.
