A Two-Day Fairyland Journey at Laojun Mountain: I Witnessed the Sun and Moon Shining Together

Last winter, I visited Laojun Mountain and was utterly speechless by its beauty! I literally stayed in a "Heavenly Palace," where I experienced sea of clouds, sunrise, sunset, and starry skies all in one trip ✨ 🚠 Lazy Hiker's Guide (Tested & Easy Version) 1️⃣ Take both the first and second cable cars without hesitation! 2️⃣ After the cable car, walk along the "Ten-Mile Scenic Gallery" (gentle path with breathtaking views) 3️⃣ Reach the Golden Summit in just 2 hours, just in time for sunset 🌇 Sunset Magic At 5 PM when I reached the Golden Summit, the entire sea of clouds suddenly turned golden. Distant peaks looked like islands floating on a golden ocean. My hands were shaking as I took photos from the Jade Emperor Summit—it was pure magic!! 🏨 Staying at a 2,216m Cloud Hotel This time I splurged on "Wuqianyan" at the summit Though pricey (over 4k/night), but!! I could see the sea of clouds right from my window The room had floor heating, smart toilet, and even a personal hotpot dinner (tears of joy for such luxury at the summit) The best part? After all tourists left, Laojun Mountain became so quiet with only the sound of wind Wrapped in the hotel's down jackets, we stargazed and chatted on the terrace—worth every penny! 🌄 Sunrise to Remember Forever Next morning, we climbed to Jade Emperor Summit in darkness for sunrise. Watched the sky turn from deep blue to pink... Then suddenly! The sun leaped from the sea of clouds while the moon still hung in the sky!! "Sun and moon shining together" truly exists 😭 💡 Pro Tips ▪️ Must bring gloves! (Morning railings are freezing) ▪️ Hotel includes cable car tickets + shuttle service ▪️ Take lots of photos at Ten-Mile Scenic Gallery—every step offers new views ▪️ Highest chance of sea of clouds in autumn/winter! Now I understand why they say "travel far for this heavenly feast" Laojun Mountain's sea of clouds and sunrise Truly deserve all the praise 💫 (PS: If budget allows, stay at the summit!
