We visited the Tianzi Jiali Museum in Luoyang on a quiet weekday afternoon, and the experience felt unexpectedly personal. Stepping through the entrance, we went straight into the first exhibition hall, where artifacts from the Eastern Zhou period bronze vessels, city plans, and burial relics helped us visualize Luoyang’s place as a former royal capital. The layout guides you gently through displays that feel intimate yet significant, with each cabinet and panel offering a clear sense of the ancient world it represents 🏺🖼️ The highlight came when we entered the second hall, built around the original chariot pit discovered in the 2000s. We admired the actual “six‑horse carriage” pit—six aligned horse skeletons beside a carriage arranged exactly as found beneath the ground. Viewing it in person, with the gentle lighting and protective glass, was humbling. We walked around the pit slowly, noticing details like the scale, the positioning, and even the preserved shapes of the harnesses.
