Macau Fortress: 400 Years of History

St. Paul's Fort, known as the Macau Fortress by the people, has a history of 400 years. Going up the slope next to the Ruins of St. Paul's, you will pass by the Fortress wall along the way. The wall was built on a granite foundation with oyster shell powder used as plaster, making it very solid and still well preserved. The fort on the top floor is quite spacious, and the former ammunition depot has now been expanded into the Macau Museum.
