Initially a wooden structure, commonly known as "Banchang Hall", by the 17th century it was converted into a brick and stone building. The church facade is in Baroque style, divided into three levels with classical columns for the doors and windows, and the top triangular frieze decorated with Dominican emblems. Walking inside, the main and side halls are separated by arcades, gold-lacquered altars and stained glass windows highlight the sacred Catholic aesthetic. As one of the oldest Catholic churches in Macau, its architectural evolution blends Iberian religious art and indigenous characteristics, witnessing the spread of Catholicism in the Far East.
