If you go up on Sat-Sun, some places have no parking, so you have to circle back downstairs. In winter, the weather is always cool upstairs. It is quite hot during the day, but there is always a cool breeze. If you don't have a private car, I recommend a red car from Chiang Mai city. It takes about 60 minutes to travel from Chiang Mai city to Mon Cham. If you use a private car, it takes about 40 minutes.
