This library opened in 2006. Designed by architects Alberto Carracci and Juan Palomar, the huge steel and glass building has a unique design that makes it look like the bookshelves are floating in the air. The entire site is about 38,000 m2. 70% of it is a botanical garden, creating a green and healing space in the middle of the city. The library is a bright space with soft natural light, and has a collection of about 580,000 books, and in the future it is said that it can store up to 2 million books!
