LAVENDER FIELDS

In an area on the Plateau de Valensole and Plateau de Sault in the Provence region, France is famous for its vast expanse of lavender gardens. You will see a stretch of purple as far as the eye can see and of course with a distinctive lavender scent. This flower blooms from June to August each year in the summer and also depends on the rainfall in each season. The color, texture and aroma of lavender encapsulates much of the essence of Provence. You can enjoy the lavender gardens by car, by bicycle or on foot.
