The ruins formed by glaciers are everywhere, and their crystal clear light and magnificent momentum are enough to make people intoxicated. - Wanaka has many beautiful short trails, such as ROYS PEAK, MT IRON, Isthmus Peak, etc. There is a very popular trail in Wanaka "Rob Roy Track" 🏔Rob Roy Track Length: 10KM round trip Time: 3-4 hours Difficulty: easy One hour drive from Wanaka, Through this trail, you will enter an incredible place: There are mountains, snow fields, glaciers, cliffs and waterfalls. The trail starts at Raspberry Flat car-park. After a 15-minute walk, you will pass a suspension bridge (this is actually the real starting point of the trail), cross the West Matukituki River, and after crossing the bridge, climb through a small canyon and enter a forest. The last section of the mountain road is more difficult to walk on. Occasionally, you will pass through a cliff path, but if the height difference is too great, you will have to climb up with great effort. But most of it is still a tree-lined path, with the ground covered with intricate tree roots. Then we walked to the end of the valley and saw the Rob Roy Glacier. During the summer, you can see several waterfalls hanging on the cliffs, with snow and water pouring down violently.
