A leisurely stroll: the poetry of the four seasons in Kichijoji

#TokyoItinerary Kichijoji is a quiet paradise in a corner of Tokyo and a habitat for the souls of urbanites. In the early morning, I strolled in Inokashira Park. The morning light penetrated the treetops and the lake was sparkling, like a tranquil watercolor painting. In the park, surrounded by small bridges, flowing water and lush greenery, people walk in groups of two or three, some are strolling, some are boating, and everything seems to have slowed down. Leaving the park, we walked into the shopping street full of human touch. Whether it is a handicraft shop or a bookstore filled with the aroma of coffee, it exudes a strong personality and warmth. I stopped at an antique grocery store and looked through old items, as if traveling through time to find another side of life. In the evening, the lights of the small street restaurants begin to come on. I chose an izakaya, ordered a few special dishes, and felt the unique warmth and liveliness of this neighborhood. The charm of Kichijoji lies in the fact that it has both the natural poetry and the embrace of the worldly fireworks, like a melodious serenade that makes people unable to help but savor it again and again.
