Phukon Forest Temple, Udon Thani Province

Wat Pa Phukon, located in the forest reserve of Wat Pa Na Dung and Pa Na Son, Tambon Ban Kong, Amphoe Nadi, Udon Thani Province, is an area where 3 provinces meet: Udon Thani, Loei, and Nong Khai. This temple was built on July 3, 1987. The main purpose of building the temple was to reforest the area to restore the degraded forest of 750 rai, including requesting permission to create a national forest reserve around the temple to be used as a meditation area, which is in accordance with the regulations of the Royal Forest Department. It also received a permit to use or reside in the national forest reserve to establish a Buddhist park, until this temple was named Maha Rukkha Parijat Phukon Buddhist Park. #Wat Pa Phukon #Udon Thani
