Phukon Forest Temple

The temple of Wat Pa Phukon is so beautiful that Thai and foreign tourists often visit it. It is a distinctive feature of the Rattanakosin period Thai architecture. The interior of the temple is beautifully decorated, which contains stories of the Buddha's teachings, along with pictures of the life of the Buddha and the Ten Lives of the Buddha on the walls. Inside the temple, there are relics of the Lord Buddha enshrined in the Phra Kesa Phra Ruang Rojan Sri Burapha, which is the main relic in front of the Phra Pathom Rattana Buraphachan Maha Chedi. There is the Phra Phuttha Saiyasana Lokanath Satsada Mahamuni, a 20-meter-long white marble reclining Buddha made of 42 pieces of marble from Italy, which is the most beautiful and durable white marble. It took 6 years to build and was built on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 84th birthday in 2011. The Buddhist community of Wat Pa Phukon is grateful for His Majesty's great kindness.
