🇯🇵 2025 Nagaoka Fireworks Festival The Nagaoka Fireworks Festival (長岡まつり大花火大会), held annually in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture in Japan's Tohoku region, is one of Japan's three major fireworks festivals. With a spectacular display of 20,000 fireworks and a variety of festival-themed delicacies, it attracts massive crowds every year, including many international tourists eager to witness the dazzling show! The festival takes place in early August along the banks of the Shinano River. Its main highlights include the gigantic "Sanjakudama" fireworks with a diameter of 650 meters and the "Phoenix Revival Fireworks" launched simultaneously from six locations.
