Paradise for bird watchers! Day trip to Lake Nakuru.

Getting There - I spent the night at Naivasha Sopa Lodge and drove to Lake Nakuru. The drive was about 2hrs. Attractions - Lake Nakuru has a lot of various species of birds ranging from hundreds of pelicans and flamingos to egret, herons to vultures. I explored the lake and watched birds and checked into the lodge for a break. In the evening I headed out for a game drive where we spotted lions, hyenas, warthogs and buffalos to name a few. Reasons to Recommend:And if you are lucky, you might spot rhinos too. I spotted a young rhino with its mother around the lake. Hotels - Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge has great views and a very welcoming team. They have an outdoor swimming pool around the bar too. Food & Restaurants - The restaurant served buffet during my stay.
