Seungwoldae, meaning 'Pavilion Ascending to the Moon,' is steeped in legend. It is said that during the full moon of August, celestial maidens descend to the Yocheon River in front of Gwanghallu Garden to play the pipa, dance, and sing throughout the night. As dawn breaks and the rooster crows, they ascend back to the moon via a golden moonbeam at Seungwoldae. Although not officially marked on maps, this spot is conveniently located right next to Kensington Resort, making it an easy and pleasant place to explore. One of the highlights is the ability to venture inside the waterfall, which feels like entering a cave.
