Nan'ao Island Autumn and Winter Sunrise Guide: The Golden Ten Minutes of Qing'ao Bay

Want to catch the most stunning sunrise in Nan'ao Island in the fall and winter? Qing'ao Bay is the place to go! 📍 Transportation and Location We recommend navigating to the vicinity of the Peninsula Holiday Hotel, from which it is a 2–3 minute walk to the beach. The hotel parking lot is paid (daily limit of CNY 20), while the beach is a public area and is free to enter. The beach here is wide, the waves are surging, and the sunrise view is excellent. There are few tourists, allowing you to quietly enjoy the whole process of the sun leaping out of the sea. ⏰ Best Viewing Time The entire sunrise lasts from approximately 5:40–7:30. Taking the actual measurement on November 24 as an example, the morning glow had already dyed the sky red when we arrived at 6:00, and the sun rose completely around 7:00. The golden sunlight shone on the sea, and the whole process lasted about 10 minutes. It was breathtakingly beautiful! 📌 Useful Tips 1. Keeping warm is very important: The sea breeze is biting in the early morning, so it is recommended to wear a windproof jacket and a scarf or hat. 2. Accommodation recommendations: Choose a B&B or hotel near Qing'ao Bay to save commuting time and get an extra half hour of sleep! 3. Shooting skills: For mobile phone shooting, try 2x or 5x zoom to capture close-ups of the sunrise or the interweaving of waves and light and shadow.
